This month marks the 47th Anniversary of the first appearance of The Incredible Hulk. The Jade Green Giant debuted in his own comic that only lasted six issues. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby then had him appear in a few of the other Marvel titles until he became a founding member of the Avengers. But The Hulk being The Hulk, he soon turned on his team mates while still being hunted by the U.S. Army. Finally The Hulk was given his own feature again starting in Tales to Astonish #60. With issue #102 the Jade Giant took over the title and has been in publication ever since.
Our man-monster has also had a very successful television series and been featured in two big budget films.
