75 Years of Robin

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the first appearance of Robin The Boy Wonder in Detective Comics #38.
He was the first kid sidekick and many more would follow.

My Tribute to Leonard Nimoy

I did this sketch as a tribute to one of Science Fictions greatest characters, Mr. Spock.
Rest In Peace Leonard Nimoy.

Seventy Years of Smokey Bear

This year marks the 70th Anniversary of our favorite fire-fighting bear, Smokey. 
In 1944 a young bear cub was found in a burnt out forest and grew up to be the National Forestry Services' symbol of fire prevention.
The above sketch was to be used for another idea I had for Smokey but it seemed appropriate for my birthday wishes.

Happy 80th Birthday, Donald Duck

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of Donald Duck. Donald made his first appearance in the cartoon short "The Wise Little Hen" on June 9, 1934.

Above I used a pose that Carl Barks used for his Dell Four Color story "The Golden Helmet". I used this because I always thought Barks handled him best.

Remembering Casey Kasem

This sketch of Shaggy was drawn in honor of DJ/voice over artist Casey Kasem.

Avengers Art

Some artwork of mine drawing the Avengers in an animated form. Above is a sketch of the line-up that appeared the "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" animated series.

Above is a simplified version of my inks over Jack Kirby's pencils to give the team an animated look.

Justice League Art

Above is my recreation art of a ad done of the Justice League animated series. I always loved this and wanted to do it as a poster. 
You'll notice that I replaced Jon Stewart with Hal Jordan (Hey he's my favorite Green Lantern).

The Real Ghostbusters

 Lately I've been watching old episodes of the Real Ghostbusters on DVD. So in honor of watching the cartoons, I've done some sketches of the characters and villains.
On top is a group shot of the ghostbusting heroes.
Above is an action shot of Dr. Peter Venkman.
